How to Be A Dynamic Online Facilitator
Presenting over Zoom or Google Hangouts got you in a tizzy? Welcome to the new world! Let me help you! In this workshop, I will support participants in the following ways: agenda preparation, email communication before the call, room set up and background preparation, physical presence, and Zoom/Google Hangouts features (i.e., chatbox, breakout rooms, etc.).
Outcomes:
- Participants learn tools to overcome the fear of becoming a distant learning facilitator
- Participants gain tips on how to use Zoom and Google Hangouts as a facilitation tool
- Participants achieve experience becoming engaging facilitators from the other side of the camera lens
Trainer: Grace Cecilio, M.Ed
Grace is passionate to teach and share her knowledge with audiences of all ages and experiences. She gained a B.A. from UCLA and an M.Ed from the University of La Verne. With her education and experience, she began a career as an elementary classroom teacher and soon embraced a multitude of responsibilities in addition to her classroom. From building a school-wide technology program to creating fun and engaging teacher videos for students, she quickly embraced technology in the education setting. Paired with her passion for mindfulness and social-emotional learning, Grace left the classroom and expanded to share this knowledge and strengthen the mindful technology skills and abilities of educators globally. As technology continues to shape our world, Grace is driven to provide the needed tools and training in how to use these platforms intentionally, effectively, and mindfully.
