Session 1: SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) TEACHER TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS WORKING WITH K - 12 YOUTH

Did You Know? That schools that implement SEL show that students increase and develop stronger learning skills, have less visits to the principal’s office and have higher attendance? They feel safe emotionally and physically, and therefore become more available to learning. Social and emotional learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. (CASEL, 2017)
